[geni-announce] 3rd GENI Engineering Conference

Hi folks:

We're trying to limit duplicates but please excuse us if you see multiple
copies.

The Third GENI Engineering Conference will be held in Palo Alto, 
California,
October 28-30.  Information on the conference can be found at
www.geni.net/GEC3/GEC3.html

We have funding to provide a modest number of travel grants to the 
conference.
Preference is given to individuals who improve participant diversity based
on geographic region, ethnicity, stage of career or (in rare cases)
technical expertise.  Information on how to apply is on the web page and
the deadline is September 5th.  (One bit of advice: past applications
have often failed to state how the person submitting would improve
diversity.   A sentence noting how you either personally or as a faculty
member at an EPSCOR, HACU or HBCU or similar institution would improve
diversity makes the process run much more smoothly).
