[geni-announce] update on GENI proposals & www.geni.net

Dear GENI Colleagues:

Several PIs have inquired as to when they will
receive news about their proposals. Matters are
already quite far along, and our current estimate
is that proposers will hear sometime this summer.

In an ideal world, we would all know the results
by GEC 5, which is July 20-22 in Seattle. However,
much of the process is not under GPO control.
So sit tight, and we'll let you know just as soon
as we can.

In the meanwhile, check out www.geni.net for
a fun article featuring the UMass GENI team who
are creating the ViSE distributed radar system. We'll
be publishing articles on all GENI prototyping teams
in coming months, so please produce interesting
photos when your system engineer hits you up....
