GENI Colleagues,
I'd like to call your attention to an extremely interesting workshop
that will take place May 5-6 in DC. It is sponsored by the NSF to look
into the possibility of creating a national-scale wireless testbed.
Workshop Organizers are Mark Cummings (Kennesaw State University)
and James Kempf (Ericsson Labs USA). Both Vint Cerf and Deborah
Estrin will be speaking and participating.
The GENI Project Office is enthusiastic about the research
potential of a national-scale wireless testbed, and would seek to
employ it for GENI if it proves be feasible. Of course it has
many other potential research uses in addition to GENI.
Please note that workshop attendance will be limited to
approximately 40 invited participants selected on the basis of a
one page PDF description. See the attached workshop call for
details of the workshop and how to apply.
All the best,
Chip Elliott
GENI Project Director
